Before you let it in
What counts as a failed request?
Anything that didn't return usable content: the site blocked us, the request timed out, the origin returned a non-2xx status, or the content type is unsupported. These return an error with credits_used: 0.
How does auto-escalation affect my bill?
We try a plain fetch first and escalate to a headless browser only if the quality check says the page needs JavaScript. Rendering is included in the base scrape price. The premium proxy tier is opt-in (allowPremium) and billed only when it's the tier that succeeded.
Do unused credits roll over?
On every paid plan, unused monthly credits carry into the next month (for one month). Top-up packs don't expire while you're subscribed.
Can I cap my spend?
Yes. Every plan has hard spend caps and usage alerts. When you hit a cap, requests return spend_cap_reached instead of billing overage.
Is yearly billing cheaper?
Yes, yearly billing gets you 2 months free compared with paying monthly.
What does the free plan include?
1,000 credits a month plus 2,000 one-time credits once your email is verified, every endpoint, and no card. Usage stops at the limit instead of billing overage.
Are credits comparable across providers?
Roughly: one credit is one successfully scraped page on all three. Competitors charge more for some operations (Context.dev charges twice our 5 credits per brand lookup) and some bill failed requests. The comparison table uses list prices only.
What currency are prices in?
US dollars. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location.
